Hoy is built for agencies that look after other people's buildings. Keep your owners, blocks and units in one place, sign a tenant up, raise the month's rent and take payment in dollars, shillings or SLSH. At the end of the month Hoy works out what each owner is owed — the rent that actually arrived, minus your management percentage, minus the repairs — and shows every one of those figures on its own line. No internet needed. English or Somali.

How it works

  1. Install on the office computerDouble-click Hoy-Setup and click Install. Hoy goes on like any Windows program - Start menu, desktop icon, and an entry in Apps & features. No administrator rights needed, and nothing to install first: Python comes with it.
  2. Enter your owners and buildingsEach owner and the percentage you take. A single building can carry its own percentage if that is what you agreed.
  3. Tenants, leases and monthly rentOne click raises the whole month's rent. Leases that pay every three or six months work the same way. Take the money in whatever currency it arrives in and print a receipt.
  4. Pay the owner, print the statementHoy works from rent that actually arrived, never from rent that was merely billed — and money already paid out can never be counted onto a second statement.
What you need: a Windows PC, and that is all. No Python, no setup — the installer carries everything. Everyone else in the office just needs a browser.
